Langston and Nick are called to investigate a murder of manager Bob Graham at a Choosy’s Chicken.Evidence indicates that someone has been living at the restaurant and blood patterns suggest that a body was dragged out to the grease containers and that there was a second victim. Langston notes that the container for Choozy’s chicken is missing and has been replaced by one from a Mandarin restaurant. They also discover skid marks and a side mirror broken off from a vehicle.

Riley finds the store was robbed and Brass talks to Kiwi Long, the usual night manager. Nick finds blood on a ‘wet floor’ sign in the restaurant while Robbins conducts the autopsy, determining that a strong blow to the head that severed Bob’s spinal cord was the cause of death.

The side mirror is traced back to frat boy Max Stanton, but they soon learn he is only guilty of attempting to stealing the Choosy Chicken. The team print all the staff but Elizabeth Martin and Gary Comstock don’t show. Brass discovers that Elizabeth Martin is an assumed name and the Gary is in the system for drug abuse and was living at the restaurant.

Mandy runs the fingerprints found next to the broiler but doesn’t get a match to Bob or any of the employees. The team trace the container theft to Timothy Rand and find the Choosy’s container with Gary’s body. Hodges finds the remnants of glasses and nine 20-dollar bills in the grease Gary was dumped in and its concluded Bob killed him. Brass finds that Elizabeth is Rosa who is an illegal immigrant. She was being assualted by Bob when Gary walked in and fought with him. Rosa came back out and hi Bob with the sign to save Gary who told her to run away. Its concluded that Bob died from slipping in the oil and hitting his head as he landed.

Meanwhile, Catherine and Greg investigate the death of Melinda Tucker, who was killed handcuffed to her bed while her husband Scott, a real estate agent, was passed out drunk on the couch. Catherine takes a glass of wine back for testing while Greg finds two tubes of empty toothpaste. In the autopsy Robbins finds her stomach filled with toothpaste and determines COD as fluoride poisoning but she was fed double the needed amount.

Greg and Vartann question Scott, who had the key to the handcuffs in his pocket. He is struggling with work and Melinda was a dental hygienist and Scott caims she would’ve fought back. Catherine and Greg return to the scene but find no whitening toothpaste but Catherine notices a footprint on the fence Greg finds two tubes of toothpaste in the neighbor’s bin with a pair of gloves which have Melinda’s DNA. They conclude that she spiked her wine swallowed the toothpaste and handcuffed herself to frame her husband.

Things get pretty gruesome this week on CSI as an FBI agent gets beaten and torn by a ‘big red hulk.’

On the crime scene Langston discovers the severed arm and body of Agent Hatford and a mysterious lump of muscle in a cubicle. At the post mortem Langston discovers the victim has no finger prints. His partners agents Beckman and Stanley explained they were working undercover to bust a major human trafficing operation.

The muscle is a severed bicep which seems to have been torn out by Vinnie Mingus, the ‘red hulk’ also a Supreme Force fighter. Agent Hatford seemed close to identifying the head of the prostitution ring, Os Puhno (the fist).

The team turn up at the Supreme Force Fighting to track down Mingus. Nick finds him with his doctor as he stumbles into the ring shouting ‘they’re fake’ and accidently commits suicide. The team team find agent Hatford’s gun, ID and notebook, but the gun seems to be a street piece. Captain Brass concludes he could have been a dirty agent.

Brass is called out to a crime scene to find the body of Agent Stanley. The department get an e-mail notifying them there is no record of Agent Hatford. Records uncover Agent Stanley’s real identity as Emma who has a record for prostitution.

The team ransack the ‘command post’ to collect all evidence tracing them back to a half way house. Agent Beckman is actually Miles Gelson who was sent to the home by the Central Narvada Psychiatric Hospital.

Captian Brass and Langston arrest Miles while Riley attempts to decipher the codes used in the evidence ledger. Langston visits Miles to break the code and offers to help arrest Os Puhno to finish the job. Miles explains the code which leads to the murder weapon. Blood traces identify the fight doctor as the murderer who was posing as Os Puhno.

Episode 9 – 19 Down

If you’re a fan of CSI and we’re talking the original Las Vegas then you will have been avidly watching the latest season considering the cliff hanger from season 8.

Things have been different since we said goodbye to Warrick and with Episode 9 we were hit by the news that Grissom is leaving. But as we’d expect he’s going to go out with a bang.

A man is murdered and put into a trash bag. His body is brought to the woods and dumped. However, it’s not a simple homicide case as during examination Nick finds a star of David necklace and as Grissom searches the database links emerge to the infamous ‘Dick and Jane’ killer (DJK) and his first victim Joel.

Grissom attends the class of the well-known criminal pathologist Dr. Raymond Langston (Fishburne) to gain access to him and hopefully find a lead for the new cases.

Its discovered that the DKJ, Nathan Haskell, had an accomplice in the killings and that their victim Gerald Tolliver, was the one as they find unique memorabilia from each of the DJK victims. In the class Grissom questions Haskell how he was able to over power his victims and if he had any help, which Haskell denies.

Joel’s mother demands to know where her son is, which Haskell describes as a special place and if he could he would like to bring him some company. Grissom offers him the chance to reduce his sentence if he co-operates and thus is identified as a member of police.

Later Haskell calls to disclose Joel’s location and the team not only find Joel but a new victim under the bridge with the known post mortem stab wounds. It seems another killer is continuing Haskell’s work…

The second part will be aired on Channel Five at 9pm on Tuesday.
