Futureheads Preview New Material
December 19, 2009 by Ryan Gibbins
The Futureheads are to give fans a sneak preview of material from their new album in their last gig of 2009.
The gig at The Quad in London will feature songs from the so far unnamed album from the Sunderland lads.
“This is going to be the last Futureheads gig of the year,” said Guitarist Ross Millard. “It’s all the more exciting because we’ll be playing a ton of tunes from our new album.”
The new album will be a follow up to 2007’s ‘This Is Not The World’. “We don’t have a name for it yet - but we’ve got most of it written, including a tune called ‘The Chaos’ that’s one of my favourite things we’ve ever done,” said Millard.
The gig will also include favourite tracks from the past, mainly the bands second album. “We’ll be playing some stuff we haven’t played in a long time too,” said Millard. “This means a lot of ‘News And Tributes’. We haven’t done any of that for a long time.”
The new album will be released some time next year.
