Patrick,

Just got back from seeing State of Play - loved it.

What will make a great journalist in the 21st century? Cal McAffrey + Della Frye. Plus, great journalism doesn't begin and end in print.

Online journalism is still very much in it's infancy: 'of the 1,028 total journalism submissions from around the US [for the Pulitzers this week], there were 65 entries from online enterprises. Thirty-seven online-only news organizations entered. But only one was mentioned by name in the Pulitzer results: Politico'

Saying that, it's always great to see examples of great, hard-hitting 'real' journalism, in fact or fiction!
