A new student bar in Sunderland is kicking off the new term in style with a special celebrity guest appearance tonight.
Campus is the new hang-out for University of Sunderland students who are to be treated to an exclusive performance from former Blue member Lee Ryan.
The bar formerly named Manor Quay - situated on the St. Peter’s Campus – has received a warm welcome from students as there was no other venue like this on campus last year. One student said: “I’m so excited about the new bar on campus. I think it’s a brilliant way to get to know fellow students a bit better. I’m going tonight to see Lee Ryan. I haven’t been in yet but it should be great!”
Campus is designed as Sunderland’s very own American-style frat house. With lots of varied entertainment and theme nights in store students are invited to party hard like frat legends Steve Stiffler and Frank the Tank.
Lee Ryan’s performance is the launch of the new weekly Wednesday event ‘Juicy’ which is just one of seven fun-fuelled nights at Campus.
The multi-million selling band Blue split back in February 2005 after cancelling a tour due to former front man Lee’s throat illness.
Lee broke out as a solo artist shortly after the split, with his debut single Army of Lovers reaching number three in the UK singles charts.
See Lee Ryan perform tonight at Campus in Charles Street, Sunderland. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early as the show is expected to sell out.
